I was so excited to get it I didn’t think about having to set it up, which of course if you know anything about how these things go didn’t exactly go to plan.
Firstly I had to format the hard drive(which was bought separately)then install it in the media player then get Windows to find it, simple.
So 2 days later when I finally got the damn thing to work with Windows,
I thought I was sorted but oh no plugged it into the tv and got a message saying no media detected, many expletives later after taking it apart(I also played with the jumper switches) I realised what had happened in the process of attaching the IDE cable to the hard drive I had pulled it loose from the bit that fits to the media player!
Have I mentioned I am an Idiot, one day I’ll learn, one day.

Having got it to work now I love it, even treated it to some nice shiny new Creative I-Trigue 3330 speakers, would have got some Logitech ones to match the other ones I’ve got but, fell in love with the shape of them, they sound rather good too.

  1. So where’s the piccies of the new speakers then?

  2. I tried to take some but the light is rubbish, gonna have to move em first.

  3. Ah, the fun that accompanies a new consumer electronics device. I have something similar from Creative Labs. It connects to my computer and transmits my mp3 collection from the computer to a small receiver unit with remote control, which attaches to my stereo.

    Isn’t technology grand?

  4. I have a fondness for stuff with lots of buttons and lights, especially blue ones.

  5. Ahhhhh, then you would like the receiver unit (which also holds the remote control) as it comes with a singularly bright blue LED. It’s the sort of blue and brightness that leads one to suspect that it is somehow controlling your brain if you get to close to it.

  6. That would be ok, I don’t have a brain.
