Fucking Christ. Just heard the news from Tam. Mentioned to her that I was just thinking about the old man over the weekend when I realized I hadn’t checked into WordPress for a bit. Thought he may have felt well enough to post something since his last.
I guess not.
Gutted Darren. And so much for you as clearly he and you were close.
While I’m not a religious man he will be in my thoughts.

It has been a difficult time, and in typical Mike fashion not what one would call smoothly….was late for the appointment with the funeral directors cos we went to the wrong place first, which meant we were late for the appointment to register his death. Probably will be late for the funeral as well!
No doubt some of his best blogs involved the give and take of abuse between the two of you. It reminded me of my times with my best friend back home in Florida. Actually made me jealous a bit. It’s hard not being with your best friend… as you’re well aware.
All that sounds about right. It’s almost as if he’s screwing with you from the spirit world!

I’ve only just found out
I’ve been wondering for a while how Mike was but had no way of getting in touch. I’ll miss Mike – he helped to teach me to see the world again and he made me laugh. Thank you.
